Body Psychotherapy and Biodynamic Massage
My work as a body psychotherapist has developed from my vocal theatre and voice coaching work. It comes from my curiosity about the voice and its embodied relationaship with the mind. I work with childhood neglect, developmental trauma, low self-esteem using body, movement, breath, sound and affective touch to build confidence to the uniqueness of who you are.
Hakomi Practitioner, Mindfulness teacher and Massage Therapist
Based in Winterton, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire
Yorkshire and the Humber
I have more than twenty years experience of massage, energy work and mindfulness practice and over thirty years` personal practice in meditation. This journey led me to train in Hakomi, with the Hakomi Education Network. This body-centred psychotherapy is an elegant way of bringing outmoded habits and self-limiting beliefs into consciousness. Hakomi, Mindfulness and Massage seem to provide a coherent menu of modalities. Effective when used individually or as a complement to each other. In the light of embodied awareness the effects of unhelpful patterns may be reduced

Psychotherapist and Counsellor
Sorry to say that I am not currently taking on private clients (from October 2022).
I am an experienced body psychotherapist living in Grange over Sands in Cumbria. I graduated from the Chiron Centre, West London, in 1999, and since maintained a busy private practice in London and then in Cumbria. My interests include creative writing, Natural Voice Network singing, yoga and meditation.
In 2020 I published a book about my own experiences living with a hard-to-treat neurological/visual impairment:
CLARE MYATT was one of the first Master Somatic Coaches to be certified by Strozzi Institute in 2000. Building on her expertise as a psychotherapist, she offers an integrative therapeutic-coaching approach, specialising in embodied presence.
She is based in the UK and available via webcam for local and international clients.
Embodied Relational Therapist
London, Crystal Palace
I am an experienced relational body psychotherapist. Owing to the philosophy of my original training in integrative psychotherapy (Minster Centre, MA), I have remained curious and open to adapt my embodied relational approach in response to those who seek me out. Further trainings like Deep Bodywork (with gentle touch), Living Gestalt, Embodied Mindfulness, and Trauma-Informed Breathwork, have helped me to respond imaginatively to changing needs, and added inspiration and playfulness to my practice.
Edinburgh & Scottish Borders
I am a fully accredited UKCP, EABP and EAP registered psychotherapist, with more than 40 years of professional experience. I am professionally insured by Towergate. I trained originally in Body Psychotherapy at the Gerda Boyesen Centre in Acton, London (1979-1983) and have trained much more widely since. I also work by Skype, telephone (Face-time), and by e-mail - though I obviously prefer meeting with the person first and getting a proper sense of who they are. I am a qualified supervisor, and give BP-oriented supervision.
I also edit and publish articles & books on BP.
I am an integrative body psychotherapist operating in East London. My practice is heavily influenced by the work of Wilhelm Reich and my own experience of Reichian therapy which showed me the body has hidden depths as well as the person-centred approach of Carl Rogers showed me the curative value of talking and human contact.
It's important to have a number of tools and models to draw on, as every client is different and we have to learn to be the therapist that they need.
Yorkshire and the Humber

I'm a certified body psychotherapist specialised in Core Energetics. I trained for 4 years at the Netherlands Institute of Core Energetics and have run a private practice since 2019 in Wimbledon Park and Highgate.
Before that, after completing a 3-year coaching program in 2014, and following various training in communication, authentic relating, intimacy, and sexuality, I practiced as a life coach in the Netherlands.
In Core Energetics, we work on removing energy blocks in the body to unleash life energy and achieve our life goals.

Dr Greg Madison
Brighton and London Online
I have been practicing as an embodied psychotherapist for over thirty years. Over the years, I have been exposed to many, often competing, psychological theories and most of the various models of psychotherapy. The body is a greater resource than any theory and felt experience can reliably guide and correct our ideas about our lives. The feeling that the body makes about our life situations can unfold step-by-step and with each step comes deeper understanding of what is really going on for us. This natural process is called Focusing and it can be added to any other model.

Relational body psychotherapy, supervision, facilitation
I count myself as fortunate to have worked as a therapist since 2003. I’ve always been fascinated by the connections between our thoughts, feelings, body sensations, faith, ‘nature’ and the rest of life. This fascination shapes my work as a relational body psychotherapist, Wild therapist, facilitator and supervisor, co-creating the work in the room – or sometimes the work outdoors. Another love is word weaving, and I’ve written/co-edited four books, the most recent ‘#MeToo: counsellors and psychotherapists speak about sexual violence and abuse’ published by PCCS Books.

Can we know this as the wisdom of that which is struggling or stuck in us? Can we find the support and guidance these places need there?
Can we be willing and curious? Can we experience the opportunity to find more space, relaxation and openness to life? The chance be freer of what is holding you back?

A yoga & somatic movement therapy session is time-out-of-time to experience, notice and be. Exactly how we work depends on your individual needs. For many people, particularly those bringing experiences of childhood trauma, what we do is very simple, based on noticing different parts of self, using dialogue techniques to get to know them, and bringing awareness to any physical sensations that arise. I have been in practice since 2003 and specialise in working with childhood trauma. I am Autistic and love working with neurodivergent people. I am IAYT and ISMETA registered.
I provide a safe, mindful and non- judgemental space for you to explore new ways of experiencing a fuller enjoyment of life.
Sometimes life can feel very challenging. If you are experiencing issues with relationships; struggling with your mental health; or feeling like there is more to be gained from your life, seeking support is the first step towards change.
Body psychotherapy can help you to gain internal resources for relating to those around you, cope with life’s challenges, experience more fulfilling relationships, and know yourself on a deeper level.
